“This is real, this is me. I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be now. Gonna let the light shine on me.” I think the best way to describe one’s self is through music so I started this with a line from Demi Lovato’s This Is Me. With that, I’m going to tell you a bit of myself, from my likes and interest to my dreams.
My name is Azima Esmula, 18. I was born and raised in a Muslim family and I’m the youngest in the 2 siblings. My father died when i was 9 and since then, our mother solely raised us. I graduated from high school in New Era University and now I’m a freshman student taking up BS Tourism Management.
I’m a funny and sometimes a loud person, especially when i’m with my friends. But you won’t see that personality of mine unless we become really close. I tend to get shy whenever i meet new people and I’m really not the type of person who would talk to someone first that is why I don’t have much friends since I transferred from FEU. In terms of schooling, I’m not one of those who really excel, but i do have honors since elementary. But honestly sometimes I really am lazy in doing school works especially now that I’m in college and I know that that’s not good.
I’m a music lover. I listen to songs from pop, RnB and even kpop. Locally, my favorite singer is Toni Gonzaga and I’m such a big fan of hers. I am also a fan of kpop even though I don’t understand the lyrics of their songs. My favorite kpop artist is CN Blue which is a band in Korea.
I also love reading books. I remember I was collecting Goosebumps by R.L Stine when I was grade 4 to 5 but that stopped and I just restored my love for reading when I was in fourth year high school. Now I’m collecting books and I spend most of my money in buying them.
I love watching movies and I’m also fond of watching US TV shows. That started when my cousin introduced to me the show Glee. Since then it became one of my habits. I’m now watching 4 TV shows, namely, Glee, The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon A Time, and New Girl. These TV shows and movies actually help me improve my English and I find it an enjoyable and entertaining way of learning.
I am dreaming of becoming rich someday and i would buy my dream house. Maybe I would work in a travel agency then someday I’ll put up my own business. I also would love to travel around the world and also visit every province here in the Philippines.
That’s it! I actually found it hard making this essay but it was fun. Thank you to those who would take time in reading this. Well, This is me. I love the way I am and i would not try to change it.
